Milky Way Photo Sessions
My Milky Way photo shoots are unique, evening photo sessions that singles, couples and families really enjoy!
I do these shoots each year from May through October. (So far, 115 sessions and counting!)

Fun Facts About Our Milky Way Galaxy
1. There are 400,000,000,000 (400 Billion) stars in our Milky Way Galaxy. Although on a very clear night, we can see only about 2,000 with our naked eye.
2. There are 1,011 known galaxies that make up our universe.
3. When we look up at night and see the beautiful cluster of stars in the south/southeast sky that we call the Milky Way, we are actually observing the core, or center, of our amazing Milky Way Galaxy.
4. The Milky Way core is 127 light years from earth, or 162,000,000,000,000,000 (162 quadrillion) miles.
About Our Milky Way Shoots
1. We leave for the shoot from our house, 1101 W. Country Club Dr. in Payson. It’s 4 miles, about 11 minutes to the site. Total time for travel and poses is about an hour.
2. For those less agile, both walking to your pose spot (20 sec.) and taking poses will be on level ground.
3. For the more agile, we can take poses atop two boulders, which are right beside the road.
4. Everyone and every thing thing that will be in each pose must stay perfectly still for 10 seconds. This usually rules out toddlers, dogs, balloons, etc.
5. Dark, solid-colored clothing works best.
6. Ladies look good in dresses, but if it’s a bit windy, wearing pants is a good idea. Blowing dresses will cause a blur.
7. Please check out some past pictures below for pose and prop ideas. But please think up your own too. Be creative!!!
8. The shoot will consist of 8-12 poses. So we don’t miss any, please bring a written list of your “must have” poses.
9. For our shoot to happen, we must have a clear, moonless sky. If clouds roll in – we’ll have to reschedule.
10. I will send your edited, digital photos to you within 48-hours – and often within 24 hours.
11. Cost: $250. Cash or check please on the night of the shoot.
12. If my schedule permits, I will do Payson High School and Payson Center for Success student sessions for no charge.
